FEATURES
The mammalian GLUT genes belong to a large superfamily of genes whose protein products are involved in the transport of a variety of hexoses and other carbon compounds. Recent biochemical studies identified the glucose transporter protein GLUT-1 as a receptor for HTLV-1 and HTLV-2.

Glut-1: Glucose transporter, specific for extracellular loop 1 (ECL1)

Antibody raised to a GLUT-1 ECL1 synthetic peptide

Specificity: human

Host: chicken

Type: polyclonal, IgY

Ref: Virology 349:184-196

Infection of CD4+ T lymphocytes by the human T cell leukemia virus type 1 is mediated by the glucose transporter...
